Balloon Stoma Measuring Device (Non-Guidewire Compatible) #1704

AMT Stoma Measuring Device helps assess stoma length so the clinician can identify which low-profile device to use for replacement. Accurately measures stoma length.

The Importance of Measuring

Measurement is critically important in placing an enteral feeding device and the measurements may vary depending on the device. The “length” of the leading competitor refers to the distance from above the external bolster to a point lower than the top of the balloon, to account for device migration into the tissue.

The length of the MiniONE refers to the distance from the bottom of the external bolster to the top of the balloon. The MiniONE at recommended fill volume, will lay fat against the stomach wall, securing the device without embedding up into the tissue.

Description

NOTE:  When replacing any device from the MiniONE® Family of Low-Profile G-tubes, it is extremely important to remeasure the stoma site. Stoma site measurements should be performed by a qualified clinician.
